Fundraise For Us
SPCA New Zealand helps thousands of sick, injured, abandoned and abused animals every year. With only a small amount of government funding, we rely almost entirely on the generosity of those who choose to make a difference. Browse our top fundraising ideas to find the perfect one for you and start fundraising for New Zealand's animals today.
You can set up your own online fundraising page here. Donations are made online and the money comes directly to us while letting everyone see how much you've raised so far. Add your personal story, photos and videos to make it interesting for visitors. Write regular updates or start a blog to document your progress and any difficulties or successes you're having. This helps people see how much effort you're putting in. Share a link to your fundraising page with your friends via email or social media. Make sure you thank people who have donated.
Did you know that at the 2017 Auckland Marathon participants raised over $1 million for charity? Taking on an athletic challenge is the perfect way to keep fit and challenge yourself while raising money for New Zealand's animals in need. There are hundreds of events and challenges happening throughout the country every year, so join Team SPCA and make your participation count.
Bake some delicious treats and take them to work or school, or invite friends and family to your house for morning tea. Ask for a donation to the SPCA in exchange for the privilege. We're sure you'll find some very generous and happy people. Whether you're skydiving, fasting, bungy jumping, shaving you head, free-diving, or firewalking... do it for the animals! Pick a date, fundraise and take on your challenge, safe in the knowledge that you're making a difference to thousands of lives across New Zealand.
Give It Up
Sugar, alcohol, smoking... What will you give up for the animals? Choose something to give up for a period of time and ask your friends, family, colleagues, neighbours and teachers to make a donation. It might be something you consume a lot of (alcohol, coffee, chocolate), something you want to do less of (talking, social media), or something you want to give up completely (meat, smoking, fast food).
Honour the life of a beloved friend, family member or pet who has passed away by raising vital funds for animals in need. Set up a tribute page and share the link with friends, family, colleagues or anyone who may like to contribute.
Donating your birthday, your wedding or another celebration is a great way of raising vital funds for New Zealand's animals. Instead of gifts, simply ask your friends, family and colleagues to donate to your fundraising page instead.
